With 15 days left in the summer transfer window and eight signings having already arrived, the work of the AC Milan management is not yet complete.
MilanNews recall that Milan have been the most active of any Serie A team in the summer window having signed Marco Sportiello, Luka Romero, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic, Noah Okafor, Samuel Chukwueze, Tijjani Reijnders and Yunus Musah.
However, the squad needs to be completed. A deputy to Theo Hernandez is needed, with Riccardo Calafiori of Basel a target for once Fode Ballo-Toure is sold.
A central defender is also sought and the focus seems to be on a younger profile, with Marco Pellegrino of Club Atletico Platense and Konstantinos Koulierakis of PAOK currently on the wish list.
A striker would be pursued if Lorenzo Colombo were to leave on loan and another midfielder is currently unlikely to arrive but would in the event Rade Krunic were sold to Fenerbahce, who have not got close to Milan’s asking price yet.
After selling Sandro Tonali and Ante Rebic while loaning out Matteo Gabbia and Junior Messias, Milan will soon officially say goodbye to Charles De Ketelaere. He will move to Atalanta on a paid loan with an option to buy.
Furthermore, the club are still waiting for the right offers to come in for Ballo-Touré (from Werder Bremen), Mattia Caldara, Marko Lazetic and Divock Origi.
Surely a DM is the priority!!!
No midfield linchpin means no midfield means no success
