Nottingham Forest boss responds to idea of Milan return for Origi

By Ben Dixon -

Reports have suggested that Divock Origi may return to AC Milan this month, but his future is in the air. Nottingham Forest’s new manager has shone some light on his immediate future in a press conference.

For Origi, things haven’t gone his way with the English outfit. A loan move was hoped to be the perfect method of reinvigorating his form, especially in a familiar league. However, it has not played out that way, unfortunately for the Belgian.

With him earning a yearly salary of €4million, there will be some urgency to quickly send him out on loan once again to avoid paying his wage. Reports suggest that there are some American sides interested in his services, which could be explored in the last two weeks of the window.

Nuno Espirito Santo addressed Origi’s future in a recent press conference, and his words have been relayed by Pianeta Milan.

“Unfortunately, Origi is injured at the moment, but all the players in the team must be aware that there is the winter window and be ready for anything. Nothing can be excluded because anything can happen. Right now, any player is important to us.

“Origi’s future, therefore, could be far from the Premier League. There are still a few days to go before the winter football market closes, and anything could happen.”
