AC Milan Women have signed forward Gloria Marinelli. She comes to the team from crosstown rivals, Inter.
As per Milan’s official statement, Marinelli was signed to a three-year contract that will last until June 30, 2026.
Marinelli is a versatile forward who can not only provide goals but create scoring opportunities for her teammates. During her time at Inter, she played 75 Serie A Femminile matches and scored 57 goals across all competitions. At 25 years old, she still has time to develop further at Milan.
Serie A Femminile is set to get underway on September 16 for the 2023/24 campaign, following the completion of the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Milan Women should reconvene by the end of August, as they will be participating in the upcoming Women’s Cup tournament. The competition is a friendly tournament and they will play their first game against América de Cali on August 23rd.
Marinelli is going to wear the number 70 shirt for the Rossonere, and she is the eighth player to join Maurizio Ganz’s side that finished the 2022/23 season in third place.
A full overview of Milan Women’s summer business so far will be provided soon.

A good goalscoring record. Hopefully Martina Piemonte won’t be missed much.
