Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been linked with a return to AC Milan over the summer and these links were fueled by his recent visit at Milanello. However, as Carlo Pellegatti highlights, the Swede will not decide now.
Ibrahimovic decided to retire from football at the end of last season and he has since been enjoying life, without the usual commitments of pre-season and more. However, he’s expected to take a bit more time still before deciding his future.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the well-known journalist Carlo Pellegatti shared the latest on Ibrahimovic’s future, amid the Swede’s meeting with Gerry Cardinale. Nothing will be decided until the 41-year-old is ready.
“There has been a lot of talk about Ibrahimovic’s role at Milan. Some say he could be vice president, others say he can be Gerry Cardinale’s consultant. The truth is that Ibra has decided not to decide at this moment. He has a lot in his head.
“Maybe Milan will find a role that entices him. Let’s let him think about his options, when he’s tired of just being a simple entrepreneur, he will make his choice. Ibra has decided not to decide for now,” he stated,
It’s clear that Ibrahimovic is an important figure in the Milan environment and his arrival could be very positive for the club. However, a clear role has to be carved out for it to be serious, and thus one can understand why Ibrahimovic wants to wait.
Newspeak for “mascot”.
