Rade Krunic is getting closer to a January exit, having fallen out of favour at AC Milan recently. According to a couple of reports, Fenerbahce is still keen and are preparing an offer of €5m for the midfielder.
Krunic remained on the bench against Frosinone on Saturday evening, as Stefano Pioli opted to bring on Yacine Adli, Ismael Bennacer and Tommaso Pobega instead. A pretty clear signal from the manager, who also has reverted to a midfield tandem rather than a three-man midfield.
According to Daniele Longo, Krunic’s exit is getting increasingly closer and he already has an agreement with Fenerbahce worth around €3.5m per year. Around €1m more than Milan are willing to offer, and it should also be a three-year deal.
As added by Sporx, Fenerbache are ready to put €5m on the table for Milan, who asked for over €10m in the summer. The feeling is that this won’t be enough to get the deal over the line, but just a couple million more could do the trick.
In any case, Pioli will be able to rely on the qualities of Bennacer in the upcoming weeks and it will be even tougher for Krunic to get playing time. It might be worth playing him a bit, though, so that the value doesn’t drop too much.
Exchange him with Kadioglu and we can agree to 3m
Better swap with Ismail Yüksek, we need natural young and proper DM to accompany Bennacer, right.
Ok player, but Kadioglu is so useful to have in the team.
The price of that player would be more than 20m
U guys are delusional
Lol so from 12 to 5m…. great choice on keeping him for that half a season pioli…
Fenerbache never came close to 12m over the summer. I think their best offer was 8m.
It was lyon who offered 12M
Lyon didn’t send concrete offer.
They were unable to meet Krunic’s wage demand.

Yeah, they didn’t reach agreement with the player.

There’s value in keeping a player. No, it can’t be quantified, unfortunately. His availability may have prevented another player from being overworked and injured, for example. With the remaining contract going down from 1 year to 6 months, the value drops as well. $12m to $5m is an expected drop. Was his presence worth $7m? We’ll never know.
price went up. 60M
So we could have made 10M in summer and the chance to secure his replacement now it’s 5M lol. Well done Furlani 😂
It was actually close to 15M (Lyon offered it)
No it was 12M but never materialize, they can’t even match Krunic’s wage demand.
What did they expect Krunic would request in negotiations? What their computer decided? I becomes clearer by the day how and why we lost players for nothing. I am not saying Krunic should have been kept, at the same time you make him start for Ac Milan for 6 months of course he will ask for minimum 3 million in negotiations.
Furliani actually offered Taremi 1.8 million for 3 years, lol expected that to go through? Last minute offer, our only chance to secure a goalscorer at the ned of a transfer window and that is what he came up with?
This dude tarnishes our reputation. Made a fool of our team.
To think anyone actually believed Maldini, a former player, would dare lowball players months on end. Then refuse to give them a deal that was fair. He knows very well it costs more to replace a player than keep him when he is at a certain level and also that losing them is detrimental to our team. Only a banker and hedge fund companies actually believe players at elite levels are dumb enough to allow themselves to be duped by people who never laced their boots to play a game of professional football.
Pioli wanted to keep Krunic, it had nothing to do with Furlani.
It had something to do with Furlani’s inability to sign regista during pre-season.
Please. Everyone knows management wanted to sell him but Pioli blocked it. All that did was lose us money and games. Thanks Pioli.
There were tons of midfield injuries too. I agree that $12+M was Krunic peak value – but keeping him made sense.
It made sense to keep Krunic and makes even more sense after seeing all the injuries. The drop in the amount offered is exactly what should be expected when the remaining contract length is cut in half.
Milan should keep him and let his contract run down unless they’re willing to replace him during the winter transfer window.
It’s not cut in half, he is still contracted until June 2025.
Who cares if it was 12m six months ago. That’s irrelevant. The moment this guy leaves it will go down as a top 10 transfer in Milan’s history. Nobody has an idea how better the team will play without Krunic.
That someone is willing to actually pay something for him is just a nice bonus and in no way should Milan drive a hard bargain to offload him.
You mean we aren’t keeping Krunic in our starting 11? He helped us win the Scudetto!
