AC Milan have presented their stadium project to the city council in San Donato and are now awaiting their verdict on the matter. In the meantime, the Rossoneri have clarified that no public funding will be used.
The Rossoneri presented their stadium project to the public on Wednesday afternoon and it’s clear that it’s very ambitious. On our Substack, we have singled out three takeaways from the presentation and what the fans should expect.
As reported by La Repubblica (via Francesco Nasato), Milan have clarified that there won’t be any public funding involved in their stadium project. This was expected but it’s also an important confirmation, and further highlights what a good opportunity it is for San Donato.
In addition to the stadium, the Rossoneri’s plan also includes improving the surrounding area and its infrastructure. For example, they will strengthen public structures such as improving the train station and building bike/walk lanes. Furthermore, they have already bought the land in the San Francesco area with their own money.
