The AC Milan management are still working to try and get a centre-back through the door as we enter the final week of the window, and Maxence Lacroix is the latest name.
According to the latest from Sky, Milan are continuing to follow Clement Lenglet and Lilian Brassier of Aston Villa and Barcelona respectively, but they are also looking into other options for the defensive department.
With the attention paid to Tosin Adarabioyo of Fulham, Milan now have a ‘strong interest’ in Lacroix who is currently playing for Wolfsburg.
However, the German club do not seem to want to sell in January and therefore the negotiation could be postponed. Thus, the 23-year-old Frenchman is a more concrete objective for the Rossoneri in view of next season.
Lacroix graduated to the first team at Sochaux after spending time in their academy and joined Wolfsburg in 2020. He has 15 league appearances and one goal to his name so far in 2023-24.
This is the same situation that Geoffrey Moncada ran into when pursuing Alessandro Buongiorno of Torino, and for this reason they will again have to look into other options.
Milan’s attention is also directed towards Lenglet – who is owned by Barcelona but on loan to Aston Villa – and Brassier who is at Brest.
another defender? why?
we need & don’t have pure DM, Genoa’s Morten Frendrup (most block & success tackle midfielder in serie a) is good & young (remind me of Great Rhino), also we’ve good transfer track with Genoa, get him soon before the price too high.
i don’t know why our moneyball algorithm didn’t catch him yet.
What are you talking about?
All our center backs are injured, kjear is playing with a risk of injury, simic still not ready to start every game and gabbia is a temporary solution.
We need a new center back as soon as possible.
Player like Kalulu and Pellegrino might miss out in the squad list for Europa and Milan will be short in defense. So, they need a readymade defender.
