AC Milan have just a few days left to bring in a centre-back ahead of the transfer deadline. The Sven Botman idea has been postponed to the summer and now the Rossoneri are looking for a young player.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara aren’t just looking to bring in a young centre-back to secure the future, but also because the cost of the operation will be lower. Something that has frustrated the fans throughout this month.
According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Milan are keeping tabs on two youngsters as last-minute options for the defence: Maxime Esteve of Montpellier and Malick Thiaw of Schalke, aged 19 and 20 respectively.
The latter has a price tag of €8-10m, per the report, and Liverpool are also interested in him. This could push Milan to make a move for Esteve, but no price tag was mentioned. There are still some days left but time is indeed running out.
