The anticipation over the return of Yunus Musah and Noah Okafor is growing, especially with the imminent departures of Ismael Bennacer and Samuel Chukwueze.
The Rossoneri have already lost Bennacer and will soon also lose Chukwueze, who will join Algeria and Nigeria respectively to play in the Africa Cup of Nations. Milan need some players to return as soon as possible to fill out the squad and give Stefano Pioli some options.
Musah has been out of action for a few weeks due to a muscle strain suffered before the Serie A match against Monza. During his absence it was Bennacer who took back his starting place in the middle of the field but, as mentioned, he is currently unavailable.
According to Sky (via Radio Rossonera), the American aims to return to the squad for the match against Empoli next Sunday having already started training on the field again, even if for now he has only done individual work.
Okafor has also already started training on the field again, although not yet with his team-mates. The Swiss forward was injured during the match against Monza, just after scoring the 3-0 goal, but he is not expected to be back until after the match against Empoli.
Therefore, the chances are high that both players will be available for the game against Roma on Sunday 14 January, which will begin the Rossoneri’s second half of the season.
