AC Milan Women will take on Fiorentina later today and on the eve of the clash, the team’s star Kosovare Asllani spoke exclusively to SempreMilan about her time since joining the club and the situation in the standings.
Asllani was signed by the Rossonere in the summer and given her experience and quality, it was a signing that brought a lot of enthusiasm with it. The 33-year-old has found the back of the net six times in eight games but the team has struggled overall.
Speaking exclusively to SempreMilan.it on the sidelines of the “Made to Play” event, Asllani discussed her time at Milan thus far and the situation in the standings (currently in 5th place).
On Milan as a city…
“I feel great, I’m obviously new here and we’ve been travelling a lot with the national team and the club, but now I’m getting to know the city more and more. I said it the other day, Milano has it all except parking spaces (laughs)
Difference between Serie A and other leagues…
“I think it’s similar to the Spanish league, it’s technical and there is a big focus on the tactical part. I like to learn how they play football in different countries and I’ve been here such a short amount of time, so I’m excited to learn more.
On improving in the league…
“Of course, we are AC Milan, a club that has winning in its DNA so we want to do everything to live up to the reputation. I hope we can start again this weekend.”
“We must continue working really hard, we can’t forget that we have a lot of new players in the team, it takes time to build a winning team and create chemistry. We’re on the way and I hope we will show that starting this weekend.
A message to the fans…
“Hi everyone, we are waiting for you at Vismara and Forza Milan!”
🚨🗣Esclusiva Kosovare #Asllani: "A Milano sto molto bene. Penso che il campionato italiano sia simile a quello spagnolo, è tecnico e molto focalizzato sulla tattica. Siamo il #MilanFemminile ed è un club che ha la vittoria nel suo DNA" – infine un breve saluto ai tifosi 🔴⚫🔥 pic.twitter.com/APGanwOLEp
