TMW: Milan could try again for Torino striker in January after summer links

By Oliver Fisher -

After being linked with a move during the summer transfer window, AC Milan could reportedly reignite their pursuit of Torino striker Antonio Sanabria in January.

As La Stampa (via TMW) reports this morning, from now until the end of 2023 there will be no more distractions for Sanabria, one of Torino’s leaders but who this season is unable to get back into the same form as 2022-23.

He has only one goal scored in Serie A so far in the present campaign, which came against Sassuolo, after scoring 12 last season. Torino head coach Ivan Juric expected more from a player who he helped grow, and believes pairing him with Duvan Zapata can turn the Granata’s season around.

It is a month to keep a particularly close eye on also in view of the transfer market. Sanabria’s name had circulated during the summer transfer window, with Milan and Lazio having put him in their sights.

In January the Paraguay international could come back into fashion for both the Rossoneri and the Biancocelesti, with both still looking for a striker.

    1. Probably because algorithm showed that 6 goals per season is what is missing to achieve what we need, so that is what they are buying.

  1. Horrible. BUT this is what we are left with after management failed to sign a striker in summer when we had multiple chances to do so…..

    1. This is a media link, not management saying they want him… you understand that most of these transfer stories are media created? It why so many of them are totally wack, like this one
