AC Milan have been credited with an interest in signing striker Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord by a source in Mexico.
Gimenez joined the Eredivisie side from Cruz Azul last summer and he has been a revelation since his arrival in Rotterdam, scoring 20 goals and adding three assists in 41 games across all competitions with Feyenoord heading for a league title win.
According to what was reported by the Mexican portal TUDN (via MilanNews), there are a number of clubs who are interested in signing the 22-year-old including Lazio, given he scored twice against the Biancocelesti in the group stages of the Europa League last September.
Born in Buenos Aires but a Mexican international, Gimenez also has an Italian passport which helps Serie A clubs. Lazio are even be ready to offer €18m to sign him as a deputy to Ciro Immobile, but the report mentions that Milan and Atletico Madrid are also on his trail.
