Another report has claimed that Luka Romero is one of the players that could leave AC Milan during the January transfer window and that he has his eye on a move away from Italy.
Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) talks about the Milan players who could leave this month and names Romero among them, given that he has found very little playing time in this first half of the season.
On Tuesday in the Coppa Italia against Cagliari he got the start in the No.10 role but in truth he struggled to establish himself in the game and was ultimately withdrawn in the second half. Admittedly, it is harsh to judge him from one game after such little game time.
The paper states that some Serie A clubs have asked for information regarding a potential loan deal for the Argentine, but Romero seems to be more inclined to a return to Spain where he has already played for Real Mallorca.
As a reminder, Romero joined Milan on a free transfer after his contract with Lazio expired. With Samuel Chukwueze at the African Cup of Nations, it is possible that Milan would only sanction his exit if a replacement arrived.
Now that’s what i called Pre-Season Wonder
If he leaves Italy, he will never come back.
Milan should keep him.
