Watch: Giroud's heroic save for Milan as seen from the away end

Olivier Giroud made a big save for AC Milan deep into injury time against Genoa last night, helping preserve the clean sheet following Mike Maignan’s red card. From the away end, it was a beautiful sight.

It was certainly a bit surreal to see the veteran striker between the sticks, especially since he ended up making a very crucial save as well. The away end, with the Milan fans, had a great view of the intervention (see video below).

Giroud’s save was almost celebrated like a goal and the striker himself revealed after the game that it felt like scoring one. Thanks to the three points, Milan are now top of the standings, two points ahead of Inter.
