Mike Maignan has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world since his arrival at AC Milan, and a leader of the team.
Maignan joined from Lille as Gianluigi Donnarumma’s replacement in the summer of 2021 and he quickly demonstrated his qualities not just through making world-class saves but also with the ball at his feet.
Among his specialties there is also that of turning into a playmaker and sending his team-mates towards goal, as he did against Sampdoria in August 2021 but also in January 2022 against the same opponent.
This season he became the providor for Christian Pulisic’s goal against Monza with a 60-metre long ball.
