Watch: Theo Hernandez rockets in Milan’s third after Giroud backheel

By Oliver Fisher -

Theo Hernandez scored a simply wonderful goal to put AC Milan 3-1 up against Roma and surely end any chances of a similar fightback to the one last year.

In the 84th minute, Milan did finally put the game to bed and Giroud was again involved. A ball was played into the path of Giroud whose perfect backheel flick in behind was charged onto by Theo Hernandez, and he laced a first-time shot in off the crossbar that Svilar had no chance with.

  1. And Musah hit the post… darn… I’d like a 4th.

But what a solid solid game… lots of players performing like they still have a drive and commitment for this season, which is good to see.

Calabria… however… is a mistake waiting to happen and he did make a big one. We may need to consider his place in this team. And maybe just play the player we brought in Terracciano. There is just no excuse at this level for mistakes like that.

    1. Dude you posted like 2000 comments about Calabria, pipe down.
He’s very solid, Italian, a primavera graduate and our captain. He’s going nowhere nor should we wish for him to.

      1. I posted like 4 or 5 where he cost us a penalty which could nearly cost us the game. I had every right to be irritated. Solid? Since when? He hasn’t been solid in like two seasons… don’t know what team you watch anymore…

Oh and just because he’s Italian doesn’t mean he should be an automatic starter.

      2. These types of comments are ridiculus. Just because he happens to be an italian from our primavera is not an excuse for him being bottom team of serie a level type of player. He is not good enough for this team that have ambitions to chalenge for silverware.

        1. Yes. To be a starter at Milan, it’s not enough to be reasonable or even good, you need to be at least VERY GOOD. This must be the predominant frame of mind.

  2. Looks like Mourinho might be canned before the end of the season at this pace lol. This Roma team has so many problems, and we could have punished them more. This could have been 4-1, 5-1, or even 6-1…

  3. Stellar touch from Giroud to set Theo up. The problem is, Giroud’s excellence only comes in flashes. Which is understandable given his age.

At this Milan I want a 9 who can take touches like that regularly, instead of constant head flicks.

But that rocket from Theo….. Vintage!
