Cagliari have put Lorenzo Colombo in their sights, but AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has different ideas about the immediate future of the striker.
Colombo is currently the third striker in Pioli’s squad and he has been evaluating his performances during the preseason friendly matches both at Milanello and on the tour of the United States.
Our colleagues at SempreMilan.it report that the Milan management oriented towards strengthening other departments, and thus it seems difficult to imagine another striker will arrive. As a result, Pioli wants to keep him as cover.
This makes it more difficult to let Colombo go who, however, would like to play continuously even at a club fighting to avoid relegation, because he knows how important consistent minutes are for his development at 21.
In the next few days, the Rossoneri will meet the agent of Colombo to discuss the options, with Cagliari keen on signing him and happy to accept a dry loan deal.
