AC Milan have their eyes on two Bologna players and could use their good relations with them to open talks, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) talks about the three players that could crop up in discussions between Milan and Bologna. The first is Alexis Saelemaekers, who arrived from Milan on loan with an option to buy set at €12m.
His progress throughout the season will be monitored and it is not ruled out that there could be negotiations on the figure, especially given that Milan have Joshua Zirkzee and Riccardo Calafiori in their sights.
The latter is showing his qualities but also his flexibility after arriving in the summer. He joined as a full-back, but under Thiago Motta he is performing well as a central defender also due to the many injuries they have suffered.
The former Roma academy man however never left the Rossoneri’s radar as a possible deputy to Theo Hernandez, given the links during the summer mercato that never bore fruit due to Fode Ballo-Toure’s exit coming on deadline day.
The other name that is being watched is Zirkzee. Milan have put the player in their sights for 2024 as they look to invest in a new striker, but he is among several options.
