Olivier Giroud’s AC Milan future has long been up in the air, and a report has now suggested that the Frenchman could be leaning more towards a move away from the club.
There have been a lot of rumours about where Giroud’s future may lie, and the most recent reports suggested that the Frenchman’s future was in his own hands, with Milan happy to offer him a new deal on their terms.
The downside to their terms is that the veteran would have to accept a lesser role within the squad, something he is seemingly unwilling to do. As a result, it seems a move away might be the best option for all parties.
As Matteo Moretto has revealed in his column on the Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, there are several options open to the striker. He is ‘very, very attracted’ to the idea of a move outside of Europe, and his dream would be the MLS if he were to move away – there have been enquiries from there already. Alternatively, there is also interest from Dubai.
The report states that Giroud and Milan will discuss the situation at the end of the season. However, as previously reported, it is up to Giroud.
