Official: Milan Primavera will face Braga in the UEFA Youth League Round of 16

The draw for the UEFA Youth League Round of 16 was held earlier today and it was established that AC Milan Primavera will take on SC Braga. A tough one for the Rossoneri, but perhaps not the worst either.

Ignazio Abate’s men had a strong group stage with four wins and two losses, finishing in first with 12 points ahead of Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain. After reaching the semi-finals in last year’s edition, they will be looking for another strong run in the tournament.

The UEFA Youth League draw for the Round of 16 was held earlier today and Milan were drawn against SC Braga. The Portuguese side finished second in their group behind Real Madrid, also collecting 12 points after three wins and three draws.

It is a tough draw, in other words, but it could have been worse as the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona were also in the mix. The Round of 16 clash will take place on February 27-28 and it will be just one leg, with Milan playing at home.

The home advantage is huge for the Rossoneri and Abate will probably be hoping that Jan-Carlo Simic, who has been with the first team a lot, will be available for that game.
