Joshua Zirkzee once again showcased all his abilities during Bologna’s 4-2 win at home against Sassuolo last night, and AC Milan continue to have him near the top of their wish list.
Calciomercato.com recall that Bologna sgned him permanently from Bayern Munich for €8.5m in August 2022 (with the Germans having a 50% resale clause) and it looks more and more like an inspired bit of recruitment.
Zirkzee, barring any surprises, will say goodbye to the Rossoblu in the summer, but whoever wants him will have to put a significant sum on the table of over €40m.
Bayern have the chance to buy him back for €50m, and that is the figure they are likely to demand from any interested club, with Milan leading the charge in Italy.
Geoffrey Moncada is ‘crazy about the Dutchman’ as per the report and in June – as the situations of Olivier Giroud and Luka Jovic will be defined – he will make an attempt.
To date, Juventus and Napoli are further behind in the race, while abroad it is above all Manchester United who have asked for information.
Meanwhile, Ronald Koeman is planning some trips to watch Zirkzee in view of the Netherlands’ upcoming European Championship campaign, along with Brian Brobbey of Ajax.
Our biggest problem in this scenario is Euros 2024. If we want him really we should buy him before trsnsfer market starts and before Euro begins because in case of him exploding in summer them his price will double.

Moncada joined Milan after Monaco at December 2018.
Of those names you mentioned, only one was bought when Moncada become our scout though – Piatek. And he looked decent with Genoa – and first few matches with us.
Our centre forward was lacklustre before Giroud comes, but that’s not entirely Moncada fault – there’s reason we have those banter era period.

Zirkzee is being hyped massively at the moment. I’m from Belgium and I have seen both De Ketelaere (for more than one season at Club Brugge) and Zirkzee (one season at Anderlecht) play. Based on what I saw in my humble opinion CDK is more talented than Zirkzee. Unfortunately it didn’t show at Milan but still I feel that if CDK is not considered good enough for Milan, Zirkzee is definitely not either…
