Rade Krunic’s time at AC Milan could very soon be coming to an end as an agreement has reportedly been reached with Fenerbahce over a sale.
Krunic started the season as quite literally a central part of Stefano Pioli’s plans given that he put him in the middle of his new three-man midfield after opposing his exit during the summer window.
However, over the past few weeks the former Empoli man has slipped down the pecking order and he has been left out of the last few games entirely, showing that he is no longer a part of the plans.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that after completing the purchase of Pietro Terracciano, the Rossoneri are now preparing to say goodbye to Krunic after four and a half years at the club.
The Bosnian has expressed his desire to leave Milan and is preparing to move to Fenerbahce, where he would meet up with his friend and compatriot Edin Dzeko
The Turkish club has reached an agreement worth €5m plus bonuses with the Rossoneri management and all that remains to be defined are the final details.
Speaking about Krunic’s situation before the Empoli game, Pioli was rather honest: “His performance is no longer what it was before and I’ve made some choices. For us it’s better that he’s looking for another team.”
For us would be even better if Pioli was looking for another team.
For Krunic, if this is done, nothing but gratitude.
Everything that he lacked in quality he made up with effort.
Played in any position possible without complaints and gave it his all.
Hopefully he still gets the money he was offered back last summer.
Agreement. He was a work horse that picked up minutes and did his job effectively most of the time until part way through this season.
Thank you for your efforts Rade.
Krunic is a classy professional. He did all he could for Milan. He is not world class and has shortcomings. He tried hard to compensate with great effort. He was instrumental in many games, and poor after his latest injury; it happens. I’m grateful to him and wish him the best in his next pursuits. Farewell, Lord Krunic.
Good riddance! You’re next Stefano
Did amazingly well in our colors.
It is because of the effort and availability of players like Krunic that the club finally got back on its feet and can now look forward to having better players than Krunic.
Good to see everyone’s in agreement that an actual verifiable winner lacked ‘quality’ (whatever that means).
And that is part of the problem.
Because 99% of people believe the midfielders we signed in the summer are ‘better’ and even though said midfielders haven’t achieved what Krunic had in fact achieved.
And 99% of people will continue to believe that regardless of whether or not Milan win anything, except they will then insist that the new signings need to be replaced with more signings of even ‘better quality’ (who themselves may not have won anything).
It’s apparently a vibe thing.
Krunic has not been vibey all season long and has become a sigma male. Soon we will rid ourselves of all our betas and sign only rizzlers.
‘Has become’
The passive tense.
Who was responsible for his ‘becoming’?
Because whoever is responsible for his ‘becoming’ will be responsible for someone else’s ‘becoming’ and so on and so forth.
How has Krunic gone from being one of Pioli’s most important players (according to Pioli) to be an outcast?
How can any organisation operate in such a whimsical fashion?
“Actual verifiable winner”.
Just like Daniele Bonera, Nicola Legrottaglie, Andre De Vito, Rodrigo Ely, Urby Emanuelsson, Simone Calvano & Giacomo Beretta, he? Verifiable champions and true winners too.
And just like everyone is asking “who?” & “when?” & “whaaaat?”, in a couple of years the same reaction come when someone mentions another verifiable winner Krunic.
Aye finally, I see ppl giving the guy his flowers. Nice to see. Very heartwarming. Don’t be afraid of the naysayers here. Dude was the ultimate professional, did his job well and what he was asked. Put in the work and helped the team win the Scudetto. One of the best utility players you can ask for. Did well this season until that injury and not sure what happened after that..but was always committed
Agree with what everyone here said. Very grateful to Rade. He was there when we needed him, played any role we needed, he was a work horse who was always dependable, and man, he had some great moments.
Grazie, Rade.
He was like ambrosini back then
The effort put in by players that love the club is underestimated. I knew we would miss Diaz and Tonali and I will miss Krunic.
He is an ultimate professional. He always put in the effort, played any position asked of him, improved and excelled in a new role, and never caused any drama when not being played. A few bad games after injury while still adjusting to playing with new (weaker) players and he’s cast out? It is strange but if this the end, I am grateful for his contributions to the Scudetto and the CL run.
Has there ever been a coach you people didn’t complain about? The Milan fanbase is apparently all better at running a team than professionals. I think playing Fifa is going to your heads
Wrong article
Giving the fact that this man, pretty much played everywhere he was asked to, regardless of it being his natural position or not, never complained, always gave his 100% and managed to win a scudetto with us while starting many games, it’s a bit sad to see him leaving while being disregarded, benched and forgotten by a team he once helped. I know I’m one of those who agreed on his departure, but I wanted it to be a better farewell to him.
Anyways, Krunic, I, as a suporter, will forever be thankfull for all your services. And we could say that, in contrary to many previous players, he will at least leave while allowing us to make profit.
