AC Milan’s fans are not happy with the pricing of the tickets that the club have set for their Champions League group stage games.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) focuses on the race for tickets for AC Milan’s home games in the Champions League and over 3,000 fans have purchased a ticket for the opening home game against Atletico Madrid.
The club have justified the prices by claiming that they are in line with the international market, but the high prices must be noted. For a ticket in the Curva it will cost €119, for the lower tier they are €139 to €200, for the third ring from €69 to €89, and the highest price is €490.
As a comparison, a ticket for Milan vs. Lazio after the international break ranges from €19 in the third tier to €94 for the best possible seats. Inter’s game against Real Madrid will cost €48 in the Curva Nord – less than half compared to Milan’s prices. The Curva Sud and the Milan Club Association, however, do not justify all this and, with a note, write: “Ineligible prices. We invite the management to remedy.”
