AC Milan are currently blessed with a fine crop of young talent, and there are rumours that another Primavera talent may be in line to make a senior debut in the near future.
This season, Stefano Pioli has regularly had to look to the Primavera squad for reinforcements, but this has not been a bad thing, considering the considerable quality in the youth ranks. With several youngsters impressing so far, there is hope that another few could be given an opportunity soon.
As reported by ESPN journalist Roberto Rojas, Hugo Cuenca has impressed in training recently and has been given the opportunity to train with the first team. He follows on saying that it is ‘highly expected’ that he will make his debut in the upcoming weeks.
Cuenca is an exciting attacking midfielder, and given the workload that Ruben Loftus-Cheek has recently undergone, he could be offered minutes to remove some of the pressure on the Englishman.

Yes that would be interesting. But the roster in that case would be much attacking oriented.
With Diaz and Saelemaekers or Messias, Milan had stronger defence. With Ruben Loftus, Milan have stronger midfield. But with Pulisic and Chukwueze, Milan would have big holes in defence and midfield.
That option is possible in case “all out at attack” when team is losing

I am a little frustrated that Primavera guys who have done well like Simic, Bartesaghi, Jimenez etc have not been trusted to play more, particularly Simic.

Totally agree! Saying that all the time. Simic is the future of Milan to more extend than any other youngsters. He did one mistake with a pass and that was enough for Pioli despite the fact that he was better than all other defensemen except Gabbia… who Pioli also did not trust.
I agree with you. Simic should play more and Eletu is a defensive midfielder ready to make the jump to the first team, very talented player, balanced and with many qualities.
AC Milan should just forget about the purchase of the Torino defender and just promote Simic already. While channelling the money meant for that purpose into poaching a solid striker for the immediate and future. Every other positions on pitch should be suplimented by the Primavera talents.
The promotions of Simic, Jimenez, Cuenca, Traore, Eletu, Zeroli should be on the card at the moment and just avoid desperate payment of humongous fee for overpriced players.
We read so much and so often on milan’s bunch of promising youths. Then they play 45 minutes in a coppa italia match or come in as a reserve for 20 minutes at the end ….. and then just disappear …. and milan chase lenglet. kiwor, brassier, kelly!!!!!! I do NOT understand this logic.
