Samuel Chukwueze is just one step away from joining AC Milan, who have reached an agreement with Villarreal for the transfer. In fact, the winger will arrive in Milan tomorrow, as we have learned.
Milan have reached an agreement with Villarreal at €20m plus €8m in bonuses and the formalities have been taken care of in the last few days. In fact, the Rossoneri have now also booked an appointment for his medical.
As confirmed by our correspondent Luca Maninetti, Chukwueze will arrive in Milan at 13:00 CEST tomorrow and he will then undergo the medical tests at La Madonnina clinic. After that, he will undergo the athletic tests before signing the contract at Casa Milan.
Chukwueze will not join his new teammates in the United States, though, as there simply isn’t enough time to get him a visa and work permit. Therefore, he will train at Milanello until the rest of the Milan squad returns.
I am gonna say it now…. Chukwueze will be a Milan Legend with laurels/ trophies to show for it…
Forza Milan
tis a bit silly. They are there for at least a week more. Barca match is on the 2. Reijnders and Okafor had no problem getting their documents sorted and flying over within 48h of signing with Milan
Reijnders and Okafor have EU passports.
The procedure for getting visas for them is not as long as getting it for someone who has Nigerian passport
Maybe. But it’s still different for a sporting club getting visas vs a random dude getting visas, isn’t it?
Factoring in he’s a Nigerian who has been “working” in Spain for 5+ years
We signed him late despite him working there. The signature has taken several days longer because of bureaucratic paperwork. They haven’t even announced him officially.
“Factoring in he’s a Nigerian who has been “working” in Spain for 5+ years”
That’s a non-factor though.
Actually, Swiss is not part of EU but they get special treatment by EU, including easier paperwork and exemption from non-EU quota.
It’s taking more time to even sign him as a NON-Eu player. And the US has a backlog on visas for people outside of Europe.
Not getting him to the USA is going to cost him a lot of form and cohesiveness with the team.
As he will be sleeping and snoring at Milano
There is still time he will jel when the teams arrive before season kick off or after two or three matches he will
Cancel the transfer!
You’ve smocked something serious.
I get the non EU stuff but you can get an expedited visa no probs if u can show them the need to be there sooner rather than later
Source: me, lol
I think it would have been better for him to travel with the team , the season just few weeks from now .
