Sport: Milan exploring Guler deal with Real Madrid favouring the Rossoneri

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are contemplating a move for Real Madrid youngster Arda Guler and the Spanish side would favour a move to the Rossoneri for their player.

As has been reported by Sport in Spain, Real Madrid are aware that the development of their player is stalling. He arrived at the start of the season after a transfer saga which saw Milan show serious interest in the Turkish attacker.

He then immediately got a serious injury, leading to around six months of recovery. Now that he is fit, there is no space for him in the starting lineup as Carlo Ancelotti has already settled on his favoured starting eleven.

Many clubs have realised that there is an opportunity to take Guler on loan, with Tottenham Hotspur and Bayer Leverkusen expressing interest.

Real Madrid are adamant that Guler needs to go to a team where he will actually get meaningful minutes, which has led Los Blancos to favour the idea of a move to Milan.

With Stefano Pioli often now using a 4-2-3-1 formation, there could be a role for Guler to play behind the striker. The one issue is that it could prove to be quite an expensive loan considering he is a Real Madrid player.

  1. Unless there is a possibility of making it a permanent move I wouldn’t bother. It creates problems once we get dependent on the player and have to return him after developing him. Rather we fix our problems permanently than putting a plaster on the problem

  2. So,Real Madrid turned us their development centre, any player who is looking for a playing time they will send him to Milan, and take him ready made when he is fully developed.

  3. If this is one of those deals where we’ll nurture a Madrid player for them, no thanks.
Either an option to buy for us with no buy back from Real or no deal.
