AC Milan are set to face Bayern Munich in a transfer market battle for Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, but both sides have got weapons in their arsenal to land the Dutchman.
As highlighted by Tuttosport (via Milan News), Milan’s interest in Zirkzee is not new but it has only increased after his goal against the Rossoneri during the 2-2 draw in Serie A on Saturday evening.
Milan need a new striker in the summer and it seems that Zirkzee is the player that they like the most right now, but Bayern Munich could be a major obstacle.
Zirkzee joined Bologna from Bayern, and they covered themselves for the eventuality that he develops well in Serie A. The Bavarians have a clause that means they can buy him back for an agreed fee of €40m, which does not apply to any other club.
They will also earn 50% on the sale of Zirkzee from Bologna, so Motta’s side want to raise the price as much as they can.
He could now cost as much as €60m to a club that isn’t Bayern, but Milan could use Alexis Saelemaekers as part of the negotiation. He is currently on loan at Bologna and plays regularly.
Also, the money expected to come in from Atalanta’s purchase of Charles De Ketelaere at the end of the season can go straight towards Bologna for Zirkzee.
Using salad as counterpart? How much? Because Salad meal is around 5 or 8 euros in italy.
He has a clause of €12m
So how the hell we generate more revenue than inter and we still don’t have.money to spend. We have the least debt from juve inter Napoli still… No money f*** me then … Buy free players and from 5,5 to 20m players then you’ll see we aren’t going to take any trophies with them
Zirkzee wont get a starting role at Bayern and 60 M is way too much money
Problem is if we include Salaemakers then that will cost Bologna money.
If Alexis part of the deal is 10m then Bologna have to pay Bayern 5m.
It sounds messy and would be easier for just a cash only sale which the EPL teams have
Then just sell him to bologna for 1 million as separate transfer and ask them to drop the price by 9 million.
lol good idea! that’s where Bayern will be watching!
Cash sale is most likely given their involvment
Remember Juve getting in trouble for doing something similar (cooking the books)
What? Bayern can receive the money only from Zirkzee sale. 50% and it goes like this: if Bologna sale Zirkzee for 40 million, than the money that Bologna paid to Bayern for Zirkzee is going to be taken away from 40, (40-8,5) and that’s 31,5, so Bayern will get 50% which is approximately 15,5 million.
Si if Milan value Saelemaekers 12 million and keep pushing it like that, and Zirkzee 60, Milan could get player for 48 million. That is still reasonable price and Bayern can get 20 million Boligna 28 plus Salad.
Bayern get 50% of his resale, so they won’t let Bologna take payment in form of a player unless they get compensated.
it’s the kind of situation that will give advantage to a Cash buyer
Essentially Bayern still own half the player and will want cash for his sale
It is definitely an interesting contract question. It could come down to the language of the contract. If it explicitly says that Bologna have to compensate Bayern to the cash equivalent of 50% of the sale, then Bologna will have to do just that. But if it just says 50% of a sale, and doesn’t stipulate that in the event that it is a player for player trade (or player for players), or that in the event that it is is a player for player + cash trade, that Bologna has to give Bayern the cash equivalent of 50%, then Bayern will receive only 50% of whatever part of the deal is in cash. If there is no cash involved they might not get a dime. For example, if we value RLC at 40m and they value Zirkzee at 40m, and we trade RLC for Zirkzee in a straight player swap, then no cash is exchanged and Bayern are out of luck. Then we get into that Juventus grey area: How do you actually calculate the value of a player?
Use saladmaker or sold leao to psg to fund this player
I think the idea is to get the 23mil from CDK plus 10 (or so) from Alexis. Shell out the difference in cash. Doesn’t end up being that expensive.
Who knows. This is all JUST speculation.
