Having Mike Maignan back in goal has been a real boost for AC Milan not only because he is one of the best in the world in his position, but also for the leadership he brings.
There was an interesting moment captured on the BT Sports cameras just before the teams came onto the field last night. With the two sides lined up in the tunnel the go-ahead was given for them to start walking out, and Maignan shouted to the rest of his team: “Let’s go Milan, let’s go!”

It’s Super Mike or no one!❤️🖤
This man doesn’t get the credit he deserves. What a point of reference. Not even donnarumma can do what he can, fantastic keeper and what he brings to his teammates is unbelievable. I hope he stays for the next 10 years
My MVP last season and it was proven this year by how much we’ve missed him and how bad we looked without him the last 4,5 months
And it isn’t just about his technical abilities as a keeper. He has this aura about him, like he is always in control, and I think he’s the kind
of leader that makes all the other players feel more at ease. He’s confident, but it’s not a fake, bratty confidence. You can just tell he’s the real deal.
💯
100 percent maignan
