MN: Training resumes ahead of Monza trip – the latest on Leao, Tomori and others

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan were back in training today at Milanello to begin preparing for Sunday’s game against Monza away from home, and updates arrived on several players.

The nature of the hectic fixture list means that there is no time to enjoy the satisfying and comprehensive 3-0 victory against Rennes last night in the first leg of their Europa League play-off tie.

Today at Milanello work begun to best prepare for Sunday evening’s match at the U-Power Stadium against Raffaele Palladino’s Monza, with the Rossoneri asked to win again in order to keep up pressure on the sides above.

According to MilanNews, there was a relaxing training session at the training complex for those who played yesterday, while the others played a practice match against a mixed team which featured Primavera and U18 players.

For Rafael Leao – who asked to come off on around an hour due to a calf problem – there is nothing to report as he did cool-down training like his team-mates who started yesterday.

Meanwhile the defensive trio of Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu and Davide Calabria all carried out personalised work as planned. It will be very difficult to imagine that any of the three will be available for the short hop to face Monza.
