Unfortunately the worst possible outcome for Tommaso Pobega has been confirmed as he will soon undergo surgery on a hip injury, a report claims.
According to MilanNews, Pobega’s injury involves the tendon component of the rectus femoris which inserts into the left hip, which is a particular injury that required consultation with a specialist.
As a result, it has been decided that the midfielder will undergo an operation on his hip and now he will be out for ‘a few months’ as per the report. Pobega is in Finland today to undergo the surgery.
It is a blow for Pobega and for Stefano Pioli, who did have a full compliment of options in the midfield department until the Italian went down with his problem during the 3-0 win over Monza.
In addition to Pobega, Yunus Musah is expected to miss tomorrow’s trip to face Salernitana as he has still not recovered from a slight muscle issue.
At least he was operated by the best in biz.
