Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return to AC Milan was announced yesterday, confirming that the Swede has taken on a role as operating partner of the owners RedBird Management. It is clear, however, that he will focus a lot on the Rossoneri as stated by Carlo Pellegatti.
Milan published the official announcement on their website yesterday afternoon, following weeks of speculation in the media. As expected, he will be involved in RedBird Management but the statement said that he also will be a ‘Senior Advisor to AC Milan’s ownership and management’.
Sharing his thoughts on the Radio show Tutti Convocati, the famous Milan pundit and commentator Carlo Pellegatti expressed his joy over Ibrahimovic’s return. He stated that the most important thing won’t be visits to Milanello, but rather what he will do in general.
“Ibrahimovic’s return? Under the [Christmas] tree, we found this surprise.
“They put him under RedBird to avoid any misunderstandings. They told me before that he had no intention of going to Milanello every day like Maldini and Massara, the important thing is that he goes where he is needed,” he stated.
The fans are thrilled to see Ibrahimovic back at the club for his third spell, having done two as a player. In recent days, a rumour also suggested that he could be a caretaker of sorts in case Milan were to part ways with Stefano Pioli in the near future.
The fans are thrilled ? considering his role i think its more lukewarm even though we all probably like having him back in some capacity.

Not much of a surprise when we see 10 articles a week regarding his return since September.
