Current Aston Villa attacker Nicolo Zaniolo is expected to come back to Serie A in the summer transfer window and AC Milan are one of the potential landing spots for him, a report claims.
As has been reported by TMW, Zaniolo has a very open-ended future right now as he is currently on loan at Aston Villa in the Premier League from Galatasaray. He arrived at the Turkish club last January from AS Roma after falling out with then-coach Jose Mourinho.
Before he moved to Galatasaray, he had been heavily linked with Milan but the club chose not to splash the cash needed to stop him from heading to Galatasaray.
With Villa not expected to sign him permanently, he may now be looking for a club in Serie A to join and Milan are still admirers of him. He could add depth to the wide areas in Stefano Pioli’s squad, and he will certainly have a point to prove.
Napoli and Fiorentina are also now being linked with the Italian who will want to ensure he gets regular starts at a club where Italy boss Luciano Spalletti can see him.
It is easier to picture those starts coming at Napoli or Fiorentina given Milan are content with Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao on the wings.

I feel for him.
We broke the relationship with Roma by courting him, we then backed out of the deal all together (which we now know was really about sacking Maldini) and then he had no choice but Galatasaray.
Not to mention the injuries.
But he’s another immature guy who could have done with the Gasperini treatment years ago. Like Scamacca, he’s a sublimely talented player with a fragile mentality who likely finds himself in hard work under a tough task master (who is prepared to develop his charge).
His form for Villa, at least initially, was much better than his goals and assists tally suggests. He was playing on the left (probably his 3rd best position) and generally making things happen. His first half at Stamford Bridge was a real highlight, including some ridiculous ball control.
It’s much like his form for Italy. He has been sharp and changed the dynamic of the team, positively, when he has played but it hasn’t converted to the scoreboard.
I tend to think he’s an AM more than he is a winger. I think he’s better in the central positions because he is able to use the 180 degrees in front of him and he has the physicality suited to the role. He has good vision and can hit all sorts of angles. He can get around players on the wing but he’s not Kvara and doesn’t have the speed of Leao or even Chiesa pre-injury so I wonder whether the wing is really the best use of his talents.
I don’t believe for a second that we’re serious about signing him. As things stand RLC is our AM if we’re playing a 4-2-3-1 and we’re not. We have plenty of wingers.
I think he needs to be a big fish in a small pond at this stage. Somewhere like Fiorentina or Atalanta but he doesn’t really fit into their teams. Maybe Lazio as the replacement for SMS they never signed? He’s not a Roman or even a Roma youth player so the politics wont be too bad.
I’d still sign him but I’m not going to say we should sign him. A loan aside it seems a pretty difficult case to mount at this stage.
