Luka Romero is set to leave AC Milan on loan for the remainder of the season, with La Liga side Almeria now just one step away from the signing. As a report claims, it could be official in the next few days.
After impressing in the pre-season, Romero has struggled with playing time, registering just 156 minutes with Milan so far. A loan move is on the cards, therefore, and the destination has now been decided after rumours linking him with Boca Juniors.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, Milan have reached an agreement with La Liga side Almeria for a six-month loan. Romero will fly to Spain today and will be hoping to have an instant impact, with Almeria sitting at the bottom of the standings.
In addition to the 19-year-old, Davide Bartesaghi is also set to leave the Rossoneri on loan before the end of the month. Frosinone have expressed an interest and will make an official request tomorrow, which Milan are set to grant.
At their age, consistent playing time is key and Milan simply cannot guarantee that as things stand. Loan moves make sense for all of the parties involved, in other words.
