Stefano Pioli is expected to make quite a few changes to AC Milan’s starting XI for the game against Monza on Sunday evening. Compared to the 3-0 win against Stade Rennes, he could make four changes.
Milan are flying high thanks to a nine-game unbeaten run in the league and a great start to their Europa League adventure. On Sunday evening, taking on Monza away from home, the Rossoneri will be looking to add another three points to their tally.
As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (see photo below), Pioli could make four changes to the starting XI. Simon Kjaer was able to play against Stade Rennes but isn’t in the best condition, which is why the youngster Jan-Carlo Simic could start instead. He scored in the reverse fixture, it should be remembered.
Ismael Bennacer is also set to play from the first minute after coming off the bench last time out. In attack, the duo Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor should also get the chance, with both eager to prove themselves.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Florenzi, Simic, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Reijnders, Bennacer; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Okafor; Jovic.
Probable Monza XI (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Birindelli, Izzo, Pabli Mari, Carboni; Pessine, Gagliardini; Zerbin, Carboni, Mota Carvalho; Djuric.
Let history not repeat itself mr pioli please, don’t forget about main league and focus more on UL.
difference this time is we have a better squad then last year. Last year he fielded Messias, Origi, Pobega and Krunic and hoped for miracles.
My!!! Those names are truly horrible!!!!!!
PEOPLE WILL COMPLAIN!
Pioli doesn’t rotate, it’s “Why doesn’t he rotate more and give players a break”
Pioli rotates and gets less than the desired results, it’s ‘God Damn it, Pioli, so inconsistent why is he starting with the bench???”
In seasons past when Pioli opted to rotate starting with the bench players, he would often fall behind having to then bring in the starters to try to catch up, often not being able to. This season he starts with the strong team, secures the goals, then brings in the bench. Which is Sensible. So there’s been improvement.
That’s a good decision to start with Jovic,Okafor and Simic this would build their confidence, also back is Benacer to bolster the midfield all the best .
