The AC Milan Women returned to winning ways at home on Sunday afternoon as they comprehensively beat Pomigliano 4-1 at the PUMA House of Football.
The scoring was opened after just two minutes as Kosovare Asllani – making her first league start of the season – netted, then Andrea Staskova made it 2-0 just before the half-hour mark.
Pomigliano halved the deficit through Martinez with 20 minutes left, but nine minutes later Asllani got her brace to make sure of the points, before Christy Grimshaw’s 93rd-minute penalty added some gloss to the scoreline.
It was a dominant performance from Maurizio Ganz’s side as they had 52% of the ball as well as 17 shots to 10 and 12 on targets to the visitors’ 6.
The win means the Rossonere go level on points with Inter and Como who are fourth and fifth respectively, and Milan have a better goal difference than both, albeit having played a game more.
The next Serie A Femminile fixture for the Milan Women is a tricky trip to Fiorentina on November 4, who are in third.

Ganz can probably still run rings around them at 50.
It’s Pomigliano.
Of course he can. I would love to see him do this to Roma, inter or fiorentina.
They seem to be the bane of our women’s side this past few season.
