The AC Milan management must eventually make a decision on whether or not to extend Luka Jovic’s contract beyond June, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already made his thoughts clear.
Jovic arrived at Milan on a free transfer from Fiorentina on deadline day of the 2023 summer transfer window and while he was not the first choice target by any means, he has recently hit a great patch of form.
With his winner against Frosinone on Saturday night, Jovic has now moved onto seven goals in 19 appearances and given that most of them were off the bench, his contribution actually comes out at an average of one goal every 103 minutes played.
Corriere della Sera (via PianetaMilan) likens him to Daniele Massaro, who often had to make do with a spot on the bench while at Milan in the 1990s but scored some very important goals as a substitute.
Now the Serbia international is the extra man in the Milan attack and he continues to repay the faith that Milan put in him.
His contract expires at the end of the season, but Milan – who boast an option until 30 June 2027 – want to tie him down, also because Zlatan Ibrahimović is a big endorses of the idea of keeping him.
Remember that JOJO used to be a 63MIO man for Real Madrid, almost the same with Tonali’s price. He should be good and in his peak rn.
extend and if he flops next season we can still sell him for minimal gains
Yeah sell for 20m for capital gain
that is pushing it. maybe 5 if he flops
not as main striker & reasonable salary, just like Leonardo or Tomasson
