Luka Romero continues to struggle for playing time under Stefano Pioli and he could leave on loan in the January transfer window, according to a report.
Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that Romeo may leave Milan in January, but his future could still be in Lombardy. The forward joined on a free transfer from Lazio during the summer but is not having the playing time a 19-year-old needs to develop.
As per the journalist, Como are pushing to sign the young Argentine who has a Spanish passport. In the last few hours, Cesc Fabregas has been pressing hard to convince the player and there has been an opening from Milan regarding the idea of a loan to Serie B.
Lecce have also moved to try and land the former Real Mallorca talent, but now Como are in pole position after Fabregas’ call. So far the teenager has played just 155 minutes across five appearances in all competitions.
As mentioned, Romero had arrived at Milan on a free transfer and he signed a contract with the Rossoneri until 30 June 2027, showing that the management do believe in him as an option for the future but at the moment he is not getting the opportunities he would hope for.
Take him
If we knock out Atalanta from the coppa italia this week, I suggest that we keep him.
We still have European and domestic engagements, he could be useful for the team
No way we need him
Best of both worlds. He wants to go back to Spain, we want him to adapt to the Italian league. Fab probably playing something close to the Spanish style as possible and he’ll still be in Italy 👍
