Planning for the summer mercato has already started for AC Milan, and with that, there are plans to invest heavily in a new striker. However, the club could face competition for their primary target.
Whilst there were suggestions that Milan would look at different striker options in the winter market, nothing came to fruition, and the plans now point towards acquiring a new forward in the summer.
With these rumours, several names have been linked, such as Joshua Zirkzee, who remains a ‘concrete’ option, alongside Serhou Guirassy and Jonathan David. However, reports have suggested in the past week that the Diavolo’s ‘dream’ choice is RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko.
MilanLive have reported that the Rossoneri may not have an easy route to the Slovenian striker. Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada consider him the ‘ideal fit’ for the position, but this is the consensus from other clubs. As a result, several other elite clubs are interested in him.
The report suggests that the biggest competition may come from Chelsea. There have been extensive reports about their interest in Victor Osimhen. If the Nigerian striker is too expensive, the Blues may divert their attention, given Sesko has a €50million release clause.
Nice this means Milan will be able to buy him for less than 20M in two years
That club could blow a billion and nothing would happen.
disgraceful
Could? You mean they have. I think a couple of billions actually. What do they have to show for it? 🙂
This Chelsea can do everything they want, no financial fair play for them… incredible…
Everybody outbids Milan.
Here is Moneyball Moncada’s strategy:
Step 1: Find an unknown player who scored a few goals recently and made the news. Let’s use Zirkzee as an example.
Step 2: Hype the player up in the media. Draw FAKE attention to him. “OMG, Zirkzee is so good. Next starting forward and Ballon d’or winner.”
Step 3: Sign player on a long contract for too much money because you’re signing a superstar.
Step 4: Watch the guy flounder and not score goals. Bench him and instead invert every position on the team to help in the attack. Who needs defense? Am I right?
Step 5: Give up a lot of goals and lose. Blame signing and the number nine curse continues.
Step 6: Find a guy who scored a goal recently from a lower team and jump back to step 1 for next year.
A couple of years ago for the double pivot, we had Kessie, Tonali and Bennacer. All 3 are hard working, have both defensive and offensive abilities. We could actually win the ball back.
Today, we have Bennacer, the pass merchant (Reijnders) and Adli.
Do you see the problem?
PS.
Why did we spend 30m+ on Chukwueze? He was supposed to be a baller like Leao, but he can’t even beat Calabria on a 1-1.
Why did we spend 20m+ on Musah? Not a good DM, not a good CM, not a good RW, not a good RB and we don’t use a RM. He’s not talented enough either.
19m+ for Reijnders the pass merchant. Not a good DM, not a good AM either and can’t play defense. Can only act as a shuttle between 2 other players. Has no other skills. Look how many shots he has, not look at how many are on target. The guy is blind.
I could keep going but you get the point. Above is 70m+ WASTED on subpar performing players.
Who scouted these guys? We’re signing players who theoretically MIGHT make us a profit. Not the players we actually need.
MONEYBALL MONCADA! Ruining Milan one transfer at a time.
I agree with your observation. Milan bought lots of players last summer, but none of them so far has shown any potential to become top quality player. Newcastle are in crisis due to fair play rules and need to sell in the coming transfer window. Tonali’s price has gone down a lot due to his ban. Milan should try to buy him back.
You are inter fan leave.
Musah isn’t good .
#Meez chuk his price was 20 m not 30m+ .
Reijnders isn’t first team quality player but he’s good same with Aldi. RLC too Pulisic plays well for now.
So my opinion is that RLC Reijnders and adli are second team players. And Personally think that we need way better players as first 11 so either One CM and One CAM or two CM .
For the first scenario my recommendation is Khephren thuram and Rafa Silva or Emile Smith Rowe or Desire Doue or Oihan Sancet. For the second scenario I’ll say Ricci and Caqueret.
But anyway the management needs to pay for top quality Midfield and a proper ST if we get Sesko then we can find an older ST like Guirassy or someone old . At last my general opinion is that Milan doesn’t have a proper top quality in every position somewhere players doesn’t have it to play first team football and need to play as a sub rather than first 11
‘ders is good. its his first season ffs. he will grow into it.
If we loan him to Atalanta he will become a baller in 3 months
This isn’t FIFA on a console: plug & plug doesn’t work. Players need time to develop and adjust in a brand new league. Musah is only 20. Reijnders has better passing than Tonali. And Bennacer has been absent for a minute.
Italian league can not afford to buy ballers. You have to find the next one and develop. Sometimes they pan out and sometimes they don’t.
That was a lot of words to say absolutely nothing of substance. Closet Inter fan, following Milan just to satisfy your rage fetish, I presume.
Dumb Maldini apologist
Chelsea Lol!
I remember when they were a penny-pinching side owned by a poor Oligarch..
