Although Nigeria were unsuccessful in the final of the African Cup of Nations, Samuel Chukwueze still received a hero’s welcome home from AC Milan.
The winger departed for his international duty after January 2, following his performance against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia. However, his minutes were shared on the right of the attack with Moses Simon.
Unfortunately for the 24-year-old, the Super Eagles lost to Ivory Coast in the final of AFCON. Nevertheless, his efforts were still applauded by his teammates and staff when he returned to Milanello this morning.

Awwwn that’s so sweet …this alone would boost back his confidence and help him contribute to the team for the rest of the season….I love this….let’s gooo Milan ❤️🖤
I will say, say what you want about Leaos lack of goals or lack of leadership on the pitch, but everytime I see him interact woth his teammates (like here with Chuku) or when Traore got his first goal and other, he is a true friend and colleague and has their backs. Thats a leader for me. Thats impact on the team
Friend ≠ a leader.
Rafa seems like a nice guy but he does not have the leader iron in him at all. Ibra had it 4 example.
I really hope this collective display of affection could reignite Chuk’s season, we’ll need him this year.
And yes, Rafa seems to be a nice fellow.
